Additional Support with Ayurvedic Therapies
At Blue Lotus Ayurveda we also offer a wide variety of traditional Ayurvedic therapies that are used to assist in the healing process. They are deeply relaxing and restorative to the body and mind and can help your body to reset from the demands and accumulated stress of daily life. For those new to this method of healing, the list of therapies can seem daunting. So, we are here to help you streamline this process and offer advice on which therapies would be most supportive to you, in your current situation. It is performed by filling a dam (made out of dough and placed around the eyes) with a lukewarm ghee (clarified butter). This is one of the most nourishing and rejuvenating therapies for the eyes. This therapy helps relieve eye strain, inflammation, dry eye, improve vision, and is used to prevent and treat a wide variety of eye ailments, including poor vision, eye fatigue, macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataracts.

It pacifies one of the primary sites of vata, relieving pain, soreness, and tension in that area. It is performed by filling a dam made out of dough and placed on the lumbo-sacral area with lukewarm medicated oil or ghee (clarified butter).

It strengthens the power of digestion and absorption, and facilitates the release of deeply seated emotions. It relieves digestive symptoms such as irritable bowel, flatulence, poor appetite, constipation and abdominal discomfort. It is performed by filling a dam made out of dough and placed over the navel area with lukewarm medicated oil

The entire program consists of three phases (preparatory, cleansing, and rejuvenation) each building on and supporting each other. The preparatory phase helps to simplify the diet and loosen deep seated toxins, thus preparing the body for cleansing.The second phase works to remove toxins from the system, and the third phase assists in rejuvenating the bodily tissues, organs, and channels once they have been effectively purified.

The full program includes: 

• Preparatory Health Consultation (60-Minutes) to customize the home cleanse to your specific needs. 

• Dietary instructions and light, delicious recipes.

• A copy of Vishnu’s Kitchen-Ayurvedic cookbook.

• Customized cleansing herbal treatments. (Cost of herbs not included)

• Daily self-care practices (including yoga, pranayama, and meditation).

• Mid-cleanse Follow-up Consultation (45 minutes) to track progress, answer questions, and to make any needed adjustments. 

• Rejuvenation Phase Consultation (45 Minutes) to provide ongoing instructions including diet, lifestyle, and herbal treatment.
