About Blue Lotus Ayurveda - Ayurveda and Panchakarma Clinic
Our goal is to help spread the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda through our services, lectures and workshops. We believe that one of the aspects that makes Ayurveda unique is the fact that it is rooted in the spiritual traditions of India, and emerged from the insight of illuminated sages who perceived universal truths in all aspects of nature. Ultimately, true healing comes from within, from being in touch with your inner self and at peace with nature and the world around you. At Blue Lotus Ayurveda, we believe that as we heal ourselves, we heal the world...

We are a family-owned Ayurveda and Panchakarma Clinic located in Asheville, and surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. We maintain a close relationship with our clients and offer individualized Ayurvedic health care, Ayurvedic therapies, and Panchakarma, with great attention to personal customer service.
Vishnu Dass (NTS, LMT, CAyu) started studying Ayurveda in 1992 under the guidance of Dr. Vasant Lad, world renowned Ayurvedic physician and teacher, and graduated from the Advanced Studies and Clinical Program at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, NM. He also worked for the Panchakarma Department of the Institute while finishing his studies, and graduated from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. He is a Board Member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association.
His holistic approach enables him to create individualized programs, specifically tailored to your particular needs, integrating into your Ayurvedic consultation nutritional and lifestyle counseling, herbal nutrition, Ayurvedic therapies, therapeutic massage, Ayurvedic yoga, and Ayurvedic yoga therapy, depending on your specific situation and goals. He is clinically trained to offer full Panchakarma programs and Panchakarma therapies, and personally guide and supervise your process throughout your treatments.
Vishnu Dass offers lectures and workshops on Ayurveda and yoga philosophy for various herb schools and yoga centers throughout the South East, and has published several articles on Ayurveda and yoga, both on local and national publications.
He learned hatha yoga, yogic practices and yoga philosophy while living at Mount Madonna Center for the Arts, in Watsonville, CA, under the guidance of Baba Hari Dass, renowned yoga master, and also while living in India with the Vairagi monks. He has taught classical hatha yoga, pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation since 1992 at various yoga centers and retreats in the US, and is able to blend his knowledge of both Ayurveda and yoga to set you up with an individualized Ayurvedic yoga and Ayurvedic yoga therapy program to meet your needs.
